FPT Becomes Qualcomm’s First Vietnamese Partner in Automotive Technology
Hanoi, February 11, 2026 – Vietnam’s leading technology corporation, FPT Corporation, has officially become Qualcomm’s first Vietnamese partner in the automotive technology sector. The landmark partnership was formalized on February 10 with the signing of a Technical Assistance and Development Agreement between the two companies, marking a significant step forward in advancing automotive technology solutions for the global market.
Under this new agreement, FPT will gain direct access to Qualcomm’s latest semiconductor chips and platforms, positioning the Vietnamese firm as Qualcomm’s pioneering collaborator in this field within Vietnam and the second such partner in Southeast Asia. This collaboration establishes FPT as Qualcomm’s Official Partner, allowing it to utilize Qualcomm’s cutting-edge technologies and engineering resources to deliver faster and more comprehensive technical support to customers worldwide.

With direct access to Qualcomm’s innovations, FPT’s engineering teams will have the ability to develop, optimize, and validate automotive technology solutions based on Qualcomm’s platforms. This will accelerate co-creation efforts and enhance go-to-market readiness for a broad range of AI-driven automotive applications, a rapidly growing sector fueled by the demand for smarter, safer, and more connected vehicles.

Qualcomm has been rapidly expanding its operations in Vietnam, including recent investments and the launch of an AI Research and Development Centre in Hanoi. Thieu added that, together with FPT, Qualcomm expects to accelerate the development and commercialization of innovative automotive solutions built on Qualcomm platforms, helping enterprises worldwide bring advanced technologies to market more swiftly.
