Important Instructions for Students
DTU has emphasized several critical instructions for students undertaking registration for the upcoming semester exams:
-
Password Reset: Students must reset their passwords prior to starting the registration process, if needed, as password changes will not be permitted once registration begins. Password resets can be done through the student’s registered or DTU email ID.
-
Mandatory Online Registration: Registration must be completed online only; DTU will not entertain any offline requests for adding, dropping, or changing courses after registration.
-
Course Enrollment: Students are required to register for both core and elective courses during the registration process. A list of elective courses for the fifth and seventh semesters of B.Tech is provided by the university for reference.
-
Academic Progression Rules: Students currently in their second year cannot register for third-year examinations unless they have cleared all first-year courses. Similarly, students enrolled in programs longer than three years must complete their second-year courses before registering for fourth-year courses.
-
Course Selection Guidelines: Students must avoid selecting electives that they have previously completed or related electives to courses they will take in upcoming semesters. Duplicate registrations for the same or similar subjects are prohibited.
-
Documentation: After registration, students should download and save a copy of their registration form. This form may need to be presented to department authorities upon request.
-
No Late Registrations: Registration beyond the specified deadline will not be accepted.
DTU encourages students to regularly check the official examination website for updates and to address queries directly by contacting the examination branch.
