Israeli Startup Onfire AI Raises $20 Million to Enhance Sales for Tech Companies
Onfire AI, an Israeli technology company, has successfully raised $20 million in a seed funding round aimed at advancing sales capabilities for technology firms. The funding round was led by prominent venture capital firms TLV Partners and Grove Ventures, with additional participation from IN Venture and Leumi Tech 77. Founded in 2023 by three veterans of the elite Israeli intelligence unit 8200—Tal Peretz (CEO), Shahar Shavit (CTO), and Nitzan Hadar (Head of Product)—Onfire AI has developed an innovative platform that leverages artificial intelligence to analyze the online behavior of potential customers. The platform provides technology and cloud companies with real-time insights into prospects’ needs, enabling sales teams to offer tailored solutions at precisely the right moment.
Bridging Military-grade Technology with Commercial Sales
The founders’ unique background in military intelligence informs the company’s approach. During their service in unit 8200, they earned two prestigious Israel Defense Awards for projects involving sophisticated threat tracking and automated target recommendation systems used by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). These military-grade capabilities have since been adapted for commercial applications in the sales domain.
Tal Peretz elaborated in an interview with Calcalist: “Before writing a single line of code, we spoke with hundreds of companies that helped us identify real pain points. We took intelligence capabilities traditionally used in defense and translated them into tools that empower sales teams within the tech ecosystem. Over the past two years, dozens of paying customers have validated that our approach delivers value. Our next major milestone is to reach $10 million in annual revenues, a target we are confident of achieving within the next year.”
A Growing Team and Expanding Clientele
Currently, Onfire AI employs 33 staff members split between Israel (28 employees) and New York (5 employees). Despite key team members having served in active reserve duty in the company’s first six months, including closing the initial deal during such a period, the firm has steadily grown its operations.
Among its customers are notable companies such as Aiven, Spectro Cloud, and Cyera, which rely on Onfire AI’s contextual intelligence system to convert massive amounts of open-source data—from forums, blogs, developer networks, and communities—into actionable sales insights. This capability allows sales teams to recognize organizations actively seeking solutions and engage them more effectively and at scale.
Tackling a Core Sales Challenge for SaaS Companies
Onfire AI specifically addresses a significant challenge faced by SaaS providers: identifying quality leads in real time and building an accurate, enhanced sales pipeline. The company’s solution provides a scalable and precise method for customer acquisition and engagement, distinguishing it in the competitive field of AI-powered sales enablement.
With this substantial new capital injection, Onfire AI plans to accelerate product development and expand its market reach, positioning itself as a key player in transforming how high-tech companies approach sales intelligence.
