Huawei Wins Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for Cybersecurity Innovation
Jakarta, October 14, 2025 — Huawei Indonesia has been honored with a prestigious accolade at the Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2025. The company received recognition in the Telecommunications Cybersecurity category for its pioneering Transformasi Ketahanan Siber (Cyber Resilience Transformation) solution, which significantly strengthens the cybersecurity posture of Indonesia’s national telecommunications infrastructure.
Addressing Growing Cyber Threats
With cyber threats increasingly targeting critical national infrastructure, Huawei has introduced its global cybersecurity solutions to the Indonesian market. These solutions are tailored to support telecommunications customers in complying with international standards and national regulations, including Presidential Regulation No. 47 of 2023 on National Cybersecurity Strategy and Cyber Crisis Management.
Syarbeni, Huawei Indonesia’s Cyber Security & Privacy Officer (CSPO), explained that the cyber resilience transformation initiative is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of risks throughout the full product lifecycle. Huawei’s collaborative approach with clients ensures that the security measures implemented are not only technically robust but also practical and effective when applied in real-world scenarios.
Structured Framework for Enhanced Security
The solution improves compliance, resilience, and security capabilities by implementing a structured set of measures that identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, thereby reinforcing defenses across all critical systems. This cybersecurity framework is based on five fundamental pillars:
- Integrity Protection
- Security Configuration
- Digital Certificate Management
- Vulnerability Management
- Lifecycle Management
Impact and Compliance
Since implementation, the solution has delivered remarkable results, boosting network security compliance scores from approximately 75% to over 98%. This improvement was achieved by enhancing device configuration security, upgrading or decommissioning outdated equipment, and fully addressing critical vulnerabilities identified via CVE databases and external assessments.
Moreover, Huawei’s cybersecurity framework aligns with the GSMA Mobile Cybersecurity Knowledge Base (MCKB) standards and has been presented at both regional and global GSMA forums, underlining its international relevance and effectiveness.
Supporting National Cybersecurity Capacity Building
Beyond technology deployment, Huawei Indonesia actively contributes to strengthening the country’s cybersecurity capabilities. In 2025, the company hosted the Huawei Mobile Security Bootcamp in Jakarta — an initiative aimed at enhancing skills and knowledge among cybersecurity professionals in Indonesia.
The award and Huawei’s continued commitment underscore the vital role of advanced cybersecurity solutions in protecting Indonesia’s telecommunications infrastructure amidst an evolving cyber threat landscape.
