Seoul, November 7, 2025 — General Motors (GM) showcased its advanced strategies for AI-driven vehicle body development and virtual technology at the International Automotive Body Congress (IABC 2025 Seoul) held from November 5 to 6 at the Mayfield Hotel in Seoul. This global conference, with origins in the early 1990s in the US and Europe, serves as a key platform for sharing cutting-edge trends in automotive body design, materials, and manufacturing.
IABC 2025 Seoul’s theme, “AI-Based Product Development and Future Mobility,” brought together leading global automakers, material suppliers, and battery companies to exchange insights on next-generation vehicle development and manufacturing innovation. Hankook Tire and Model Solution Showcase Sustainable Design at 24th Seoul Design Festival
Korea’s leading tire manufacturer Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire), part of the Hankook & Company Group, confirmed its participation in the upcoming 24th Seoul Design Festival, scheduled to take place from November 12 to 16 at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The Seoul Design Festival is the country’s largest design exhibition, attracting global designers and corporations to present the latest trends in design.
This year, Hankook Tire is co-hosting a brand booth with Model Solution, a global innovation hardware platform company under the same corporate group. The joint exhibition is themed around “Movement Toward a Sustainable Future,” unveiling the group’s future vision and design innovation that fuse advanced technology with design excellence.
The booth features a "Kinetic Wall" adorned with upcycle bricks made from recycled tire molds, emphasizing sustainability. Visitors will also witness the domestic premiere of a “sustainability concept tire,” combining 100% sustainable materials, 3D printing, and innovative design elements, signaling the company’s direction for next-generation eco-friendly tires.
Additionally, as part of the group’s upcycling project, ‘re:move,’ several artistic objects and furniture crafted from tire manufacturing byproducts, including bladder material, were created in collaboration with Seoul National University’s Circular Design Lab (DISCO Lab) and will be on display.
Through the exhibition, Hankook Tire aims to communicate a new sustainable design language that spans mobility, materials, and lifestyle, positioning itself as a leader in design innovation for the future.

Hankook & Company Group Releases Documentary on Hankook Competition’s Endurance Race Challenge
Hankook & Company Group, which manages the premier Korean motorsports team ‘Hankook Competition,’ has released the third installment of its branded documentary series titled The First through the OTT platform TVING. This five-episode series documents the team’s pursuit of top-level endurance racing challenges on the global stage.
Episode 3 centers around Hankook Competition’s participation in the ADAC Ravenol 24 Hours Nürburgring race held in Germany last June, the world’s largest endurance race. Competing in the premier SP9 (GT3) class, the team completed 136 laps at an average speed of 143 km/h. Out of 134 entrants, they achieved an impressive overall 9th place finish—marking the first time an Asian team reached the top 10 in this highly competitive event.
The race car, a Porsche 911 GT3, was equipped with Hankook Tire’s high-performance racing tire brand, Ventus. The documentary offers viewers an inside look at the team’s new season preparation, key moments during qualifying and the main race, tactical responses to varying conditions, and the collaborative efforts that drove their growth on the global motorsports stage.
