FILKOM Universitas Brawijaya Partners with Marimo Global Technology to Enhance Student Recruitment and Internship Opportunities

The Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) has officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Marimo Global Technology Co., Ltd., marking a significant collaboration aimed at boosting student recruitment and internship programs. The signing ceremony took place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, and underscores FILKOM’s commitment to strengthening ties between academia and the global technology industry.
Bridging Academia and Industry
This partnership focuses on expanding practical training and employment prospects for FILKOM students by granting them access to internships and potential recruitment within an international technology environment. Through these initiatives, students are expected to gain invaluable real-world experience, enhancing their competitiveness in both national and global job markets.
Dr. Eng. Budi Darma Setiawan, S.Kom., M.Cs., Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship at FILKOM UB, emphasized the significance of the collaboration. “With this MoA, FILKOM students will have broader access to internships and job opportunities at global companies. We hope this step opens the door to a stronger partnership between education and industry, preparing young professionals to compete at the international level,” he stated.
Representatives and Agreement Details
The signing was attended by key representatives from both institutions. FILKOM UB was represented by Dr. Budi Darma Setiawan, along with M. Ali Fauzi, S.Kom., M.Kom., Ph.D., Chair of the International Relation Office (IRO), supported by lecturer Dr. Ir. Heru Nurwarsito, M.Kom., and Hermawan Dwi Putra, S.H., M.H., Head of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship.
From Marimo Global Technology Co., Ltd., attendees included Vice Director Koiwai Atsushi, Human Resources Director Ishijima Takanori, and International HR Director and translator Aldo Kristanto.
Dr. Budi further explained that the implementation of recruitment and internship programs will be managed through separate contracts detailing funding and operational mechanisms agreed upon by both parties.
