Global Yacht Technology Unveils ANAHITA: The World’s First 100-Foot Cruising Trimaran

November 22, 2025 — Metstrade, Amsterdam

Global Yacht Technology (GYT) has proudly unveiled ANAHITA, the world’s first 100-foot cruising trimaran, at the prestigious Metstrade show. The launch event gathered distinguished guests including esteemed navigator and strategic advisor Loïck Peyron, Yann Prummel, exterior designer at VPLP Design, and Lucien Boyer, CEO of CDK Group.

A New Era in Luxury Yachting

ANAHITA represents a groundbreaking milestone in the realm of luxury yachting, ushering in a new era of high-performance cruising vessels. Designed and crafted in the heart of Sailing Valley in Brittany, France, ANAHITA epitomizes the pinnacle of French marine craftsmanship. Constructed using advanced carbon pre-preg infusion techniques—heritage processes drawn from the offshore racing sector—the trimaran balances technical precision, aesthetics, and fluidity.

Marking a significant advancement in yacht engineering, ANAHITA has an exceptionally light displacement of only 35 tonnes empty, making it nearly 60% lighter than traditional yachts of comparable length. This feat pushes the boundaries of performance while ensuring exceptional stability across diverse sea conditions. The vessel redefines extended cruising by ingeniously combining speed, comfort, and safety on the open ocean.

Performance and Design Innovation

Capable of cruising at speeds up to 25 knots, ANAHITA can cross the Atlantic in just six days — a remarkable achievement for a 31-meter yacht. Its shallow draft expands access to secluded, picturesque anchorages inaccessible to typical yachts of similar size, enhancing the freedom and versatility of cruising.

The trimaran’s lines, crafted by VPLP Design, blend sculptural elegance with lightness and balance, redefining the aesthetics of large cruising yachts. The sleek, architectural profile promises not only stunning visuals but also hydrodynamic efficiency. Inside, ANAHITA offers 123 square meters of fully customizable living space. A luxurious 12-square-meter owner’s suite serves as a tranquil haven with panoramic views and direct access to the deck. The yacht features a generously sized cockpit of 25 square meters, expansive sunlit exterior areas, and 160 square meters of front trampolines, creating an immersive and seamless onboard experience.

Yann Prummel, the exterior designer at VPLP Design, shared insights:

"Starting with a blank slate, our goal was to create a 100-foot trimaran that meets the demands of racing while offering cruising comfort. We drew inspiration from the water strider insect, whose movement unites speed, stability, and precision. Translating that into ANAHITA involved simplifying and integrating complex design needs to build a high-functioning yet elegant vessel. The hull’s balance and lightweight design—with proportions harmonized between interior and exterior volumes—yield a craft that feels both fast and graceful. Ultimately, ANAHITA strikes a unique balance between racing purity and cruising luxury."

Engineering Excellence Rooted in Offshore Racing

ANAHITA’s technical prowess is deeply rooted in offshore racing expertise. Ronan Guérin, co-founder of GYT, explained:

"Choosing a trimaran configuration was clear—the design is more stable, powerful, and safer than catamarans, while providing greater seakeeping, speed, and balance. This architecture enables us to achieve performance and comfort levels previously unattainable in large recreational yachts."

The project assembles top-tier French maritime industry talents: VPLP Design handled naval architecture, exterior design, and structural calculations; CDK Technologies constructed the composite platform; GSea Design engineered the mast computations; Mer Forte developed foil appendage systems; MerConcept built the deckhouse; Christophe Chedal Anglay crafted a refined interior; and Lorima fabricated the carbon mast. This collaboration of specialists has brought forth a trimaran where every element reflects meticulous craftsmanship and innovation.

Lucien Boyer, CEO of CDK Group, noted:

"Presenting ANAHITA at Metstrade is pivotal, as the event gathers key professionals and decision-makers worldwide. Showcasing this vessel positions GYT firmly among global superyacht leaders. This project is the product of a naturally synergized team and marks only the beginning of an ambitious journey."

Visionaries Behind the Project

Global Yacht Technology was founded by three complementary experts: Ronan Guérin, a high-level athlete and naval construction specialist; Ulysse Harin, an authority on managing complex major shipyard projects; and Gwenaël Bardou, an aerospace-trained engineer and composite quality expert. Together, they share a vision to revolutionize yachting through innovation, freedom, and performance.

An Exceptional Onboard Experience

ANAHITA is designed to elevate every moment at sea. The layout ensures natural movement throughout the vessel, spacious interiors, smooth transitions between living areas, and quiet operation enabled by autonomous energy systems. It offers owners and guests an unparalleled feeling of a floating home—where speed enhances comfort and each nautical mile is infused with a profound sense of liberation and adventure.

Upcoming Launch and Future Prospects

Currently under construction in Brittany, the first unit of ANAHITA has already been sold, with its maiden launch scheduled for 2027. Global Yacht Technology envisions this trimaran as the vanguard for a new generation of exceptional yachts combining advanced engineering, sophisticated design, and unmatched cruising freedom.
