China Successfully Launches New Communication Technology Test Satellite
On December 20, 2025, China achieved a significant milestone in its space technology advancements by launching a new communication technology test satellite. The satellite was carried into orbit aboard a Long March-5 rocket, which blasted off from the Wenchang Space Launch Site located in southern China’s Hainan Province at 8:30 p.m.
Developed by the China Academy of Space Technology, the newly launched satellite is designed primarily for validating multi-band and high-speed communication technologies.
