Unlocking Connectivity: Linknet's Vision for Expanding Home Internet at National Technology Summit 2025

National Technology Summit 2025 Day Two: Linknet Highlights the Critical Need to Expand Home Internet Networks in Indonesia

Jakarta, November 6, 2025 — On the second day of the National Technology Summit 2025, Linknet reinforced its dedication to building a collaborative national connectivity ecosystem. During this key forum held in Jakarta, the company emphasized the vital importance of expanding home internet networks across Indonesia, particularly focusing on the vast potential for growth outside urban centers and the island of Java.

Emphasizing Home Broadband Expansion

Linknet’s presentation underscored that while internet access in Indonesia is predominantly mobile-based, there is a rising demand for fiber-based connections. This trend aligns with increasing adoption of digital services that require more stable and higher-capacity internet infrastructure to ensure quality user experiences.

Overcoming Geographical Challenges Through Collaboration

Erick Satya Arianto, Chief Technology and Network Officer at Linknet, addressed the pressing challenges faced by digital infrastructure development in Indonesia. "The main challenge is not just technology but geography," he stated. Highlighting Indonesia’s unique landscape, which consists of approximately 70 percent ocean, Arianto stressed that establishing home-to-home connectivity cannot be achieved by a single entity alone. "This is why we choose collaboration over competition," he added.

Linknet’s Role as an Open Access Infrastructure Provider

Arianto elaborated on Linknet’s current strategic focus, positioning the company as a provider of reliable infrastructure that can be shared with Internet Service Providers (ISPs). ISPs, in turn, will focus on delivering products, customer services, and expanding market reach within their respective regions.

“Every ISP has distinct local strengths and market insights. Our role is to provide a dependable network accessible to all through an open access model,” he explained. “This approach can accelerate broader and more equitable broadband expansion across the country.”

Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Network Management

In addition to infrastructure development, Linknet has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) technology to optimize network planning, infrastructure monitoring, and customer experience management. Presently, AI applications are concentrated on enhancing internal operational efficiency to ensure effective service delivery.

Summit Highlights and Closing

The National Technology Summit 2025 brought together diverse stakeholders for cross-sector discussions on sustainable connectivity, inclusive digital transformation, and industry synergy within Indonesia’s technology landscape. The event concluded today after several insightful sessions that aimed to advance the nation’s digital ecosystem.
