Thrustmaster Unveils ESWAP X2 H.E Modular Gamepad Featuring Advanced HallEffect AccuRate Technology
October 1, 2025 — Thrustmaster has announced the launch of the ESWAP X2 H.E, the latest innovation in its ESWAP line of modular gamepads. This new model is the first to incorporate the brand’s proprietary HallEffect AccuRate Technology (H.E.A.R.T.), marking a significant step forward in gamepad precision and durability.
Breakthrough in Precision and Durability
Drawing on over 15 years of experience in magnetic sensor systems originally developed for flight simulation, Thrustmaster’s H.E.A.R.T. technology replaces traditional joystick potentiometers with Hall Effect sensors. This advanced magnetic sensing enables the ESWAP X2 H.E to deliver unmatched accuracy with a detection precision of 0.01 degrees and complete immunity from joystick drift—a common problem where cursors move unintentionally due to wear on mechanical parts.
Unlike conventional sticks that experience wear and lose precision over time, the contactless Hall Effect sensors maintain consistent performance without friction or mechanical degradation. This translates to flawless reproduction of every mini-stick movement for hundreds of hours of gameplay, ensuring players benefit from unparalleled control and responsiveness throughout the lifespan of the controller.
Modular Design Tailored to Your Playstyle
Continuing the tradition of the ESWAP series as a modular system designed for competitive and performance-driven gamers, the ESWAP X2 H.E supports Thrustmaster’s Hot-Swap technology. This feature allows players to quickly and easily replace mini-stick modules to customize the controller’s layout to their preferences—whether symmetrical, asymmetrical, or completely personalized—without losing the benefits of the Hall Effect technology.
The gamepad also features mechanical buttons across ABXY, RB/LB, D-pad, and rear buttons that deliver responsive feedback. Laboratory tests have shown that these mechanical buttons register clicks approximately 64% faster than standard membrane-based alternatives, with an activation distance trimmed to a mere 0.3 mm (0.01 inches), allowing for precise input during intense gameplay.
Partnership with Rocket League Champions NRG
Thrustmaster has also announced a new partnership with NRG, the reigning Rocket League World Champions and a highly influential team in the North American competitive scene. Thrustmaster serves as NRG’s official controller partner, providing the team with cutting-edge gear including the new ESWAP X2 H.E. The collaboration kicked off with an exclusive bootcamp at Thrustmaster’s headquarters in Rennes, France, ahead of the Rocket League World Championship held in Lyon on September 10, helping NRG secure their world title.
The partnership reflects both organizations’ commitment to innovation and competitive excellence, with NRG leveraging Thrustmaster’s technology to push performance boundaries and produce engaging content for their community.
Availability and Pricing
The ESWAP X2 H.E is commercially available starting October 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of $169.99 USD, €179.99 EUR, or £139.99 GBP, depending on the region.
