Historically dedicated exclusively to delivering technological solutions, BBVA Technology América is expanding its portfolio to include specialized services supporting critical areas such as Global Risk Management (GRM) and Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB). These services will be provided through newly created centers of expertise that operate across three continents: America, Europe, and Asia.

Recruitment efforts will focus on diversifying the workforce with profiles specializing in finance, risk management, security, software development, and data science. Growth will continue into 2026 and beyond.

Founded in 2001 in Puerto Rico, BBVA Technology América has steadily expanded its geographic presence to several Latin American countries, including Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina. A landmark moment occurred in 2015 with the inauguration of the “Centro de Procesamiento de Datos Lago Esmeralda” (CPD LE) in the State of Mexico, which positioned the company as a regional technology hub by consolidating data center operations across the continent.
